No problem. Debbie works anywhere in your own currency, without the UK-only bits (VAT, CIS, Making Tax Digital). You still get everything else: quotes, invoices, AI receipt scanning, profit tracking and a full profit and loss report to hand to whoever does your tax. One simple flat rate, worldwide.
The things people ask us most.

UK sole traders doing their own tax: delivery and gig drivers, content creators, online and market sellers, landlords and tradespeople. For landlords, Debbie works out your SA105 property figures, Section 24 mortgage interest relief and Rent a Room relief and tracks tenancies, rent and void periods. A property counts as one of your business slots, so a landlord who is also a tradesperson can run both from one Duo or Triple account.
Most people do not need Making Tax Digital yet. If that is you, nothing changes. Keep using Debbie for your records and tax estimate, then download your Tax Return Pack to file it yourself or have someone file it for you. Making Tax Digital only starts once your money in from self employment and property, added together before costs, goes over a limit. HMRC calls this your qualifying income. The limit is £50,000 from April 2026, £30,000 from April 2027 and £20,000 from April 2028. HMRC looks at your tax return from two years before. If it does apply to you, Debbie now connects to HMRC and sends your quarterly updates (a short summary every three months) and your end of year return for you, only after you check the figures and tap to confirm.
You do not have to have one. Debbie keeps your records, sorts your costs into the categories HMRC uses on the tax return and works out your tax for you. Plenty of people do their own tax return this way. If someone else files for you, Debbie makes them a Tax Return Pack with all your figures in one tap.
Yes. Debbie runs your whole business admin anywhere in the world: quotes, jobs, invoices, materials, expenses and profit per job. The one UK-only part is UK Making Tax Digital filing. Wherever you are, you can export your income and expense figures ready to hand to your own tax adviser or tax authority. Same £10 a month.
£10 a month. Outside the UK, Stripe sells it to you and works out any tax your country charges. Your bank converts it to your currency at its usual rate.

"I always wanted to start my own business but filing taxes and the cost of paying someone to do it was a real fear for me. I built Debbie to solve that for myself first and I use it every day for my own businesses. That means I spot problems and sort them as soon as I find them and build genuinely helpful features."

“All 8 lines in our test statement were categorised correctly with zero manual corrections needed … The resulting profit and loss figures reconciled exactly once checked by hand.”
“Every single one, across two separate rounds of testing weeks apart, was fixed the same day it was flagged, which is a genuinely rare turnaround for a one-person team.”
